Mysterious and wonderful mushrooms in Mexico.
Did anyone else see the episode of “chuck’s week off” in which he has some sauteed mushrooms freshly picked from the forest? It was cool, I’m going to try and dig up the video. Essentially, he is just another culinary traveler of sorts, but at the same time, he finds the most authentic dishes of Mexico without cultural hesitation whatsoever. He jumps right in elbow deep every time a dish is taken from the cabinet.
….
Stay tuned…possibly a video if I can find it!

Last night’s episode of American Top Gear, the series that is seemingly, and badly mind you, replacing that of their aboriginal, British counterparts, was in part about a ’90s Toyota Camry decked out Apocalypse-style.
In particular, one of their missions to conquer adversity was in fact to drive without vision. The three co-hosts Adam Ferrara, Rutledge Wood, and Tanner Foust, who have been hosting the show stateside since 2010, were made to ride the decked out Toyota Camry Apocalypse Mobile with completely blacked out windows and only the use of a gps monitor.
I nearly got sick just watching this seen and seeing the guys didn’t help. But, the fact of the matter is that the two journalist/television personalities (Ferrara and Wood) were nervous wrecks, but in good hands. Foust is a prize-winning driver and typically takes the driver’s seat on shared expeditions that the show indulges.
Check it out on History Channel.
